If you’ve really been digging all those classic song covers Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo have been jamming on during recent Metallica shows — have I got something for you. Next month in Ontario, Canada on July 26th Hammett and Trujillo will be performing a special concert at the Cosmopolitan Music Hall at Cosmo Music. The band has been dubbed, “The Wedding Band” and will play a special show full of classic rock covers from AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and more.
Here’s the best part. It’s a tiny venue with a capacity of about 200 people so it will be a very intimate show. Also helping out “The Wedding Band” will be Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe) on vocals and Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age, Zakk Sabbath) on drums.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 27 at noon EST. VIP tickets (limited to 100) are priced at $300 and include a meet-and-greet before the show with Hammett, a signing poster, a limited-edition Kirk Hammett Monster Mash Up Funko Pop! figure and two special-edition guitar picks in a commemorative gift bag. General admission tickets (limited to 100) are priced at $200.
