Mosquitoes are a pain in the you know what, but there’s been an advisory in Volusia county. Mosquitoes are carrying the West Nile virus and although there are no confirmed human cases yet, the bugs are biting chickens which in turn can infect the meat humans consume.
Make sure you’re not leaving standing water around because that’s where they lay their eggs. Cover up as much as possible and wear bug spray.
