Daytona Beach, FL – A 27-year-old woman charged with Grand Theft of a Victim over 65 and Criminal Use of Personal I.D. of a victim over 60 is in court today.
Chalsey O’Brien was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after a relative of the victim contacted the Office of the Attorney General about his possible exploitation.
Dancer Charged With Grand Theft Against Elderly Victim
The investigation showed the victim met O’Brien at a club where she was working. In September 2018, she moved in with him. She withdrew money and made unauthorized transfers from the victim’s checking account, reaching a total of more than $34-thousand by May 2019.
O’Brien also used her victim’s personal information to purchase almost $13-thousand of online merchandise, which she then sold for cash.
