Backpack Buddies is hosting it’s 10th Drive-Thru Food giveaway which begins at 4 p.m. today at the Wayne G. Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Avenue in DeLand.
Volunteers will disperse over 30,000 lbs of both perishable and non-perishable food into your trunk for a contactless distribution. It is open to all Volusia county residents and ID is not required.
Kelli Marks, Orange City Council woman and founder of Backpack Buddies said, “We are extremely grateful for our partnerships with so many of our community members who have stepped up to supply critical resources for those most in need in our community. We look forward to providing this food and nutrition to the community for the Thanksgiving holiday.”
