The 44th Annual Greek Festival returns to Daytona Beach’s St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church November 11-14, 2021. Daytona Beach’s Greek families invite everyone to be “Greek For The Weekend!” and join in the celebration by eating, dancing, drinking and singing like a Greek. The Greek Festival will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
This “must do” event is free and open to the public and guaranteed to be fun for all. Daytona’s Annual Greek Festival is one of Daytona’s most attended and enjoyed celebrations. A family friendly event, attendees will enjoy traditional, live Greek music, dancing, Greek beer, wine, ouzo and incredible selections of Greek cuisine, featuring favorite foods like Pastitsio, Dolmades, Gyros, Baklava and more. Back by popular demand is Moussaka, a layered eggplant and potato based dish with seasoned meat, béchamel sauce and grated cheese. Combination dinners, pastries and trays of prepared foods will also be available for take out.
Along with traditional favorites, additional food items include Souvlaki (small pieces of meat (pork) with Greek seasoning grilled on a stick), Hummus and Tzatziki dip and pita. Tzatziki is a Greek sauce made with strained yogurt, cucumbers and garlic.
Attendees can learn how to dance to Greek music, enjoy Greek cuisine and mingle with friends. New this year is “The Taverna Bistro,” which offers additional seating located at the house South of the church.
There will also be vendors with unique items available for sale.
FREE PARKING AND SHUTTLE VANS will be available during festival hours. Free parking at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1014 N. Halifax Avenue. Vans run every 10 minutes to shuttle guests to and from the festival.
