Here we go again. Somebody has found something weird on Google Street View.
A mysterious green man was snapped by Google’s roaming cameras on a busy Birmingham city centre street. In the series of images, he gets out of a silver Honda Civic clutching his wallet before looking into the camera and heading off towards the city’s university.
According to the Sun, Stevie Hall, 47, came across the images while searching [59 Summer Row] for parking for the city’s popular German Christmas Market. Hall says,
“I just froze in fear when I saw him and the hairs went up on the back of my neck. My friend and I thought we were seeing things and so had to check it again by putting in the post code. The Google info says it was shot in April so it wasn’t even Halloween. I searched for nearby conventions as well on that date and nothing. It isn’t faked either as you can see there are reflections on the car. I’m not really into conspiracy theories but we’ve been full of them since seeing it.”
Oddly, he’s in a few shots as he walks down the street and automatically blurs several of the images including his beard… but when he stops to look at the camera, you can clearly see him.
Hall adds,
“It doesn’t appear to be a mask as every angle he looks from out of this world. “I researched the image to see if it came up as a mask but there was nothing for sale on Amazon, eBay or anywhere. Another strange thing is that no one else seems to react. It is a busy road and you would have thought people would see him – maybe it is only the Google cameras that can pick it up. He certainly doesn’t look happy to have been caught on camera.”
So, is he a freaky bearded alien? Maybe a soul-sucking demon? Or, do the Brits just like screwing with people via Google maps? I’m going to go with the later and hope they keep it up.[/three_fifth_last]
