We all know by now that Google and Facebook monitor what you’re looking up and what you’re spending your money on and they sell that to advertisers for a decent chunk….
Well, now banks are realizing that they’re pretty much sitting on a GOLD MINE. If they monitor what you spend your money on as well, they can see THAT info to any advertiser that’s willing to buy. Not only that, they could potentially see that you went to one restaurant and then offer you a percentage off for ANOTHER completely different restaurant. They would make money both off of sending the coupon, then if you actually went to use it.
The info they are gathering their data from is primarily used for fraud protection.
The banks have a HUGE advantage in this game because they know EXACTLY where and WHAT you spend your money on.
