The same internet that brought you “Boaty McBoatface” has now figured out WHO the boat looks like, and I’m sorry in advance because you won’t be able to unsee it.
You many remember when the Natural Environment Research Council decided to leave it up to a poll to name their new ship. Someone suggested Boaty McBoatface, the idea went viral, and after over 124,000 voted for the name in a landslide win, the council officially named the vessel after naturalist Sir David Attenborough. Naturally, people weren’t pleased so as a compromise, one of the ship’s remote-controlled submersibles still goes by the moniker, Boaty McBoatface.
From the blonde eyebrows to the tanned skin, and of course, the trademark handlebar mustache, you could almost swear you are looking at WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan instead of a research vessel. Check it out for yourself.
