A Montreal Chinese restaurant’s owner whose very honest descriptions of his menu items is getting him the recognition he deserves.
Aunt Dai’s menu describes the orange beef with his honest, unedited opinion as, quote, “not that good” while another dish doesn’t meet his high expectations because it’s “just different than those where I went to university.”
Feigang Fei. even admits, “I am not [a] big fan of North American Chinese food” and say of the beef satay, “This one is very popular, I still don’t have chance to taste it. Looks like I should spend more time eating in my own restaurant.”
Fei says he’s happy because, “It’s very, very good for our business… we don’t want [customers] to come with high expectations and then feel disappointed.”
