A Florida man’s baggage caught the attention of airport officials when they spotted a grenade and an unassembled military grade rocket propelled grenade launcher in his bags.
Yep, you read that right.
According to TSA, the St. Augustine resident was stopped for questioning at the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania with a bag containing a barrel, trigger, sights and grenade.
It was determined that while the device could be assembled using the parts, the launcher was not functional and the grenade was a replica. He told authorities he could board the flight with the items because the bag was checked.
TSA confiscated the launcher and grenade and the man was able to catch his flight back to Orlando Sanford International Airport.
