If you’ve been to the grocery store or any other place that normally sells toilet paper, you may have noticed it’s disappearing rather quickly again.
Not only TP, but cleaning supplies are flying off of the shelf as well. You’re going to see many of these store putting a limit on how many of these items you can purchase again. Publix is already starting to do this. Amazon is also reporting that they’re wiped out of cleaning supplies and paper towels.
What could be contributing to this problem is nearly 10% of the employees that work at the manufacturing plant that make these products are calling out due to coming in contact with someone who tested positive.
President and CEO of the Consumer Brands Association, Geoff Freeman says he doesn’t expect things to be as bad this time since lockdowns are being handled on a regional basis and everyone should be better prepared.
