Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and New Orleans music legend, Dr. John, has passed away at 77 according to his family. Dr. John, whose real name was Malcolm John “Mac” Rebennack was a pianist, singer, songwriter and worldwide ambassador for New Orleans music. He had been honored with six Grammy Award in addition to being selected for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
