New Smyrna Beach, FL – The fifth and final New Smyrna Beach City Commission town hall of 2019 takes place tonight at the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center.
Zone 4 City Commissioner Randy Hartman is the host for tonight’s event. He says there will be an open discussion about annexation, projects underway, projects in the current budget, and a question and answer session. Zone 4 covers the southwest quadrant of the city.
The town halls are a good way to make citizen engagement a priority, according to Mayor Russ Owen, who hosted the first one for this year back in February. The other three zone commissioners have each hosted a town hall.
The Alonzo “Babe” James Comunity Center is located at 201 N. Myrtle Avenue. The town hall runs from 6 until 8 p.m.
