DeLand, FL – One week after offering the job of Volusia County Schools Superintendent to Dr. Ronald “Scott” Fritz, the School Board has given it’s approval to his contract with a start date of December 2, 2019.
Dr. Fritz began his career as a paraprofessional in Hillsborough County at the Children’s Home. After serving as a teacher, he was the principal of three schools in Hillsborough County: Benito Middle, Giunta Middle, and Wharton High School. In his current position, he serves as the Chief of Staff for Teaching, Leading, and Learning in Osceola County.
Also at today’s School Board organizational meeting, a unanimous decision was made for Ida Wright to be the Chair and Linda Cuthbert to be the Vice-Chair.
