And you thought raw chicken only came back to life to crawl off your plate in nightmares. Nope, it apparently happens in Miami also.
In a video shared to Facebook by Florida woman Rie Phillips, a plate of raw meat is on a restaurant table when a piece of chicken appears to come back to life. The cutlet begins to twitch before hoisting itself upwards, and crawls off the plate while people scream in the background. While we don’t know the name of the restaurant, chopsticks imply Asian cuisine.

Comments remind the viewers that this happens “usually because the meat is so fresh the muscles can still move”. There is some credibility to the statement too, chickens have been known to survive and keep moving despite losing their heads — hence the phrase “running around like a chicken with its head cut off”.
