If you haven’t been introduced to Ander Christensen of Lincoln, Nebraska, please allow me the pleasure. Ander made a passionate speech to the city council in his hometown calling on them to lead the charge in renaming boneless chicken wings.
His argument is actually quite valid when he breaks it down. Boneless wings are actually made from chicken breasts, so they should be called, quote, “Buffalo-style chicken tenders, wet tenders, saucy nugs, or trash.”
Quote, “Nothing about boneless chicken wings actually come from the wing of a chicken. We would be disgusted if a butcher was mislabeling their cuts of meats, but then we go around pretending as though the breast of a chicken is its wing?”
Check it out below and let us know if you agree.
Oh and if you enjoyed Ander’s speech on the importance of proper meat labeling, you’ll probably also enjoy Chad’s plea regarding Tom Cruise and the Space Station to the Huntington Beach City Council in California below.
